Newly Remodeled Civil War Museum Grand Opening July 29

The Prospect House and Civil War Museum in Battle Lake will be hosting Freedom Fest Tours and exhibits Saturday, July 29 during their grand opening of the newly remodeled Civil War Museum. This is a free event with a free will donation option for visitors.
They are also hosting the 2nd MN Light Artillery Battery reenactors group from Southern Minnesota and will provide educational demonstrations and learning stations about Soldiers Aid Society, items from the homefront, Delpic Oracle. Also featured will be quilting, a small arms display, Civil War items, Confederate flags and a gun drill.
The Prospect House has been granted special permission for the Cannon Firing at 12 noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
