OTC Defeats Breckenridge

The Bulldogs hosted Breckenridge and came away with a 33-6 victory. OTC opened the scoring in the first quarter when Ben Naddy scored from 24 yards out and Luigi Aiello added the extra point for a 7-0 lead. The Bulldogs forced a Breckenridge punt and the Bulldogs got the ball with decent field position. Then after a nice offensive drive Austin Wensauer carried the ball into the end zone from 28 yards out. Aiello added the extra point to make the score 14-0. The second quarter started with the Bulldogs and Cowboys exchanging punts. With 6:00 left in the half Austin Wensauer scored his second touchdown of the game going in from 12 yards out. The touchdown drive was kept alive by a 36 yard pass on 3rd down from Nick VanErp to Sam Fisher. The score at halftime was OTC 20 and Breckenridge 0. The third quarter started with OTC receiving the ball. From their their own 38 yard line it took them 6 plays to march the ball down the field and into the end zone. Ben Naddy got his second touchdown of the game scoring on a 3 yard run. The two point conversion was no good as VanErp’s pass could not connect. Breckenridge bounced back from the score with a score of their own completing a 20 yard pass. The PAT was no good to make the score 26-6. The Bulldogs topped off the scoring for the game in the fourth when Nick VanErp capped off another nice offensive drive with a quarterback sneak from one yard away. Luigi Aiello came in and booted the extra point making the score 33-6. Ben Naddy and Austin Wensauer had nice nights running behind their offensive line that opened holes all night long. Dustin Olson, Ramon Lopez-Moen, Michael Fielding, Travis Arndt, RJ Ehlert and Isaiah Dorn played a great game in the trenches. Nick VanErp was 3 for 5 throwing the ball. Defensively the D Line, Gabe Johnson, Adam Lange, Dustin Olson and Thomas Ebeling, won their battles all night. Dustin Olson had the lone qb sack of the evening. Bennett Cameron and Nate Hart each had 2 pass breakups; Alex Erlandson and Ben Naddy each had one. Max Naddy led the team with 9 tackles in the game. The Bulldogs travel to Menahga Friday to face United North Central at 7 p.m.
