OTC Improves To 5-0

Otter Tail Central hosted Long Prairie/Grey Eagle for the OTC Homecoming and Jacob Quam #75 night. The Bulldogs got right to work. After taking the opening kickoff, Nick VanErp completed a pass in the end zone to tight end Isaiah Dorn. Luigi Aiello’s extra point was good and the Bulldogs led 7- 0. The Bulldogs quickly made it a 14-0 lead when Michael Fielding recovered a fumble that Ben Naddy ripped out of the returners arms. On the next play, VanErp connected with Colton Kirschbaum for a 28 yard TD pass. Aeillo’s kick was good. On the next Bulldog possession, Ben Naddy scored a touchdown from 8 yards out and Austin Wensauer converted the 2 point conversion to make it a 22- 0 game. Just before the end of the first quarter, Sam Fisher raced 60 yards around the left side for a score and the extra point made it a 29-0 game. The Bulldogs scored twice more in the second quarter. VanErp and Fisher connected on a 28 yard TD pass and VanErp and Bennet Cameron hooked up for a 22 yard score. Aiello converted on both extra point attempts. Otter Tail Central took a 43-0 lead to halftime. The second half was a see saw battle with both teams moving the ball, but not scoring. Several new players got an opportunity to get a large amount of playing time. The Bulldogs’ defense pitched their second shutout of the year. Max Naddy was the leading tackler and recorded a quarterback sack. Gabe Johnson and Nick Miller also had a QB sack. Michael Fielding and Blake Wallevand recovered fumbles and Isaac Fisher had an interception. Offensively the Bulldogs rushed for 262 yards. Sam Fisher 62, Austin Wensauer 53, Jackson Boyum 52, Ben Naddy 36, Nick VanErp 25 and Max Naddy 26. VanErp was 9 for 11 throwing for 151 yards and 4 TD’s. Colton Kirschbaum had 4 catches for 60 yards, Bennett Cameron 2 catches for 38 yards, Sam Fisher 2 catches for 45 yards and Isaiah Dorn 1 catch for 8 yards. OTC improves to 5-0 on the year. They will play Breckenridge in Battle Lake this coming Friday night at 7 p.m.
