BLHS Clay Target League

In week 4 Breydin O’Keefe had two perfect rounds, resulting in a score of 50 out of 50 clays. The senior team member did this on a drizzly, overcast morning. Breydin has consistently been a high scorer for the years he has been on the team. Coach Daryl Franze remarked, “This was terrific. The first 50 for our 4 years as a trap team. Breydin did an excellent job.”
Drake Larsen also brought in a perfect scoring round this week, joining the 25 Club. He has previously done this during a practice session. Many athletes are consistently improving their scores as the season goes on.
“It has been a great year. All the kids are shooting awesome,” said Coach Orion Newark. The team retained their conference leader standings.
The Battlers have one more scoring week. The team has a local Four School Trap Team Competition Sunday, June 4 at Dalton Outdoors with Battle Lake, Underwood and Ashby there plus one other. Their banquet with sporting clays event is June 7 at 5:30 p.m. at Viking Valley Hunt Club. The state tournment June 12.
