Girls Win SHADA Second Year In A Row

Four area ninth grade girls (Kalista Aamot, Amelia Barry, Courtney Koefoed and Sabrina Fronning) traveled to Pelican Rapids to compete in their annual SHADA Three-On-Three Basketball Tournament in the ninth and 10th grade division. This was their fifth  year competing in this tournament placing fifth, third, second and now winning their second straight championship. The games are played to 17 points or 20 minutes. The girls went 4-0 in pool play beating Abercrombie 15-4, Moorhead 17-10, Ada-Borup 17-11 and then beating Fergus Falls 16-8. In the championship game, the girls followed up with a very tough 13-12 win against Ada-Borup as time expired. Submitted by Blaine Barry
