Meet the Battle Lake 542 Education Foundation

For the past six years, the Battle Lake 542 Education Foundation has been partnering with the Battle Lake Public Schools to support student excellence and expand learning opportunities for all students. This past year the foundation awarded over $7,500 in teacher grants.
This year the goal of the foundation is to purchase the equipment needed for the Digital Media Production Lab which will be accessible to all students PreK-12.  The Foundation Board hopes to raise $6,000 for this project, as well as continue to give out teacher grants, award student scholarships and grow the endowment.
The two primary methods that the Foundation utilizes to raise funds are the “542 Club” and the “Battler Club”.  The 542 Club is a five year commitment….$142 the first year and then $100 each year after that for a period of four years. The Battler Club is a $54.20 commitment per year.  The Foundation also accepts larger donations and memorials.
Memberships in either one of these clubs gives you tickets to our annual “Tastes, Toasts and Traditions” event (read below.) Please consider joining either club and supporting our students!
In order to join, please visit our website at 542foundation.com or contact Shari (Thiel) Prigge at 612-219-8121. The foundation is an affiliate of West Central Initiative.
The foundation invites alumni and community members to join as “Club Members” in order to support the students of Battle Lake Public Schools.
