Threshing Reunion This Weekend

The Lake Region Pioneer Threshing Association will celebrate their 64th anniversary this weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 8, 9, 10. The show is annually at the threshing grounds near Dalton. Cockshutt-Oliver will be this year’s feature. A 1959 Cockshutt 540 Gas Tractor will be given away as first prize in the annual raffle.
The daily Parade of Giants will be Friday and Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. Tractors will test their strength in a tractor pull to be Saturday at 3 p.m. 
Sunday, the kids will test their strength in a pedal pull to be held at 10 a.m.
This year’s show will feature some special entertainment.  Friday evening, The Explosive Rockats will perform at 7 p.m. No admission will be charged for this show – a freewill donation will be taken
  Saturday evening, The Silverado Band from Fargo will perform at 7 p.m. This high energy country band will perform many favorite  country tunes. The band has played many venues including opening for Toby Keith. Advance tickets can be purchased at Coopers Office Supply in Fergus Falls or at the door the evening of the show.
No admission will be charged to enter the threshing grounds after 5 p.m. for these evening performances.
The members of LRPTA invite you to bring the family and come on out to the show.  You will enjoy some old time threshing, lumber making, and other pioneer skill demonstrations, along with good food being served daily.

There will be a free Dalton historic photo show all day Saturday, September 9 in conjunction with the show and parade. Refreshments will be served.
