Glen Wahlin

Glen Wahlin, 70 of Harlingen, Texas died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at his home under hospice care.
Memorial Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 at Christina Lake Lutheran Church of rural Evansville with visitation one hour prior to the service with Rev. Mark Erickson officiating. Interment will be at Christina Lake Lutheran Cemetery of rural Evansville.
Glen Archie Wahlin was born May 10, 1947, by Clitherall, Minnesota the son of Archie and Viola (Pearson) Wahlin. He attended country school by Clitherall and then graduated from Battle Lake High School in 1965.
Glen and Bonnie Aydt were married June 20, 1974 in Battle Lake, Minnesota. After their marriage they lived in Clitherall where they operated Wahlin Café, then Bonnie and Clyde’s, and Glen also worked for Burlington Northern Railroad as a switchman and then Canadian Pacific Railroad as a heavy equipment operator.
After retirement they moved to their home in Harlingen, Texas living their full time for 18 1/2 years. He enjoyed working in his yard. After Glen’s death Bonnie returned to Clitherall.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; three sisters, ViAnn (Jim) Hilgard of Buffalo, Vivian Helie of St. Paul and Carolyn Doll of Fairbanks, Alaska; and by numerous relatives and friends.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Viola Wahlin and his brother-in-law, Richard Helie.
