Ashby Legion Hosts 7th District Convention

Ashby American Legion hosted the 7th District Convention June 9th. Richard Wok led the Legion meeting and Karla Minnick (above) led the Auxillary meeting. Tom Grover (Ashby Mayor) and Nick Olson (Ashby Legion Commander) welcomed the attendees. Minnesota Department Commander Mike Scheffer addressed the convention.

The meeting consisted of a morning and afternoon sessions, with an impressive memorial session in between sessions. Sheri Anderson (Ashby Auxillary President) gave a POW/MIA reading and Marj Thompson (Ashby Chaplain) gave the invocation. Dean Knutson of Ashby was a coordinator. Ashby Legion provided the lunch (corrdinated by Judy Stierlen, Wayne Stierlen and Mark Ludwig. Guest Speaker was Pastor Mark Johnson.
