Dalton Summer Festival A Success

Dalton celebrated Summerfest Friday and Saturday with many activities. The 4-H served their annual breakfast Saturday.
Fifty people of all ages took park in the 5K/1 Mile Race. They had different age groups. In the 5K-Joel Rovang receive first place, 2nd place was Evan Paulson, 3rd was John Eberhardt, 4th Luke Johnson (9 years old), 5th was Mark Johnson and 6th place was Andrew Aamot. In the 1 Mile run-Luke Melby took 1st, Hannah Johnson 2nd, Courtney Paulson 3rd, Dalton Melby 4th, Gordy Lun 5th and Barbara Lund 6th. Jane Rovang (formerly) and Tuet Rovang walked their dogs on the one mile walk and they finished to visit Lorella.
Many antique cars were on display at the Dalton Opera House Saturday.
Rides were given to the threshing grounds and allow-ed people to shop and look at some of the displays.
The men and women of the volunteer fire department serviced pork chops and scalloped potatoes to over 200 people.
The weekend ended with fireworks Saturday night, which were beautiful.
Thursday evening, the Dalton ball team played a double-header and won both games.
A movie was shown at the Dalton ball park Friday night and was well attended.
