‘Boots On The Ground’ Receives Donation

Customers at the Underwood Liquor Store have been making one dollar donations to the “Toast Our Troops” fund raiser and Wednesday, August 8 presented a check for $2080 to the “Boots On The Ground” Group. This donation will be used solely by the Recreation Department at the Fergus Falls Veterans Administration to supplement their programs.
Store Manager Anita Gumphrey said the local residents have been very generous in their donations and fully support the Boots On The Ground Cause. Mitch Davis, BOTG Committee member said in 2017 their group raised over $33,000 in donations and over a four year period have donated $60,000 to the recreation fund.  This provided for over 300 resident outings last year.
Their next fund raiser is the Motorcycle Fun Run Saturday, September 22 starting at the Fergus Falls Veterans Home at 12 noon.
