Sandra Barry Day at Ashby School

It was Sandra Barry Day Wednesday, September 19th at the Ashby School. She was in the cafeteria offering the students fresh cookies as they passed through the lunch line. Sandra was acknowledged by Superintendent Neimann for her 43 years as cook at the school, presented with a gift of appreciation from the school and staff. Her homemade Peach Betty, corn chowder, hamburger gravy, chicken noodle soup and so many other favorites have resonated with generations of students and staff. Helping her celebrate her retirement were her daughters, Vonnie Evavold and Brenda Evans.
