Stalker Lake Golf Course Donation To LRHC Cancer Center

Sheri Swonger from Stalker Lake Golf Course (front left), Pete Peterson (front center) who assisted with the fundraising efforts, and Jamie Nordic, Director of the Cancer Care & Research Center along with several cancer center staff members accepted a generous donation of $23,298 raised by SLGC during their Cancer Awareness Week in July.

The golf course held both a men’s and women’s golf scramble and several other events during the week along with donating a percentage of their restaurant sales toward the cause.

The cancer center staff expressed both awe and appreciation for the donation and commented that it will be a huge help in meeting the needs of cancer patients on every level – from clinical to emotional to spiritual.
