Janice Rose Miller – Fergus Falls
Janice Rose Miller, age 72 of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, September 29, 2018 at her home.
Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Services were 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls with Rev. John Carpenter officiating. Interment was at Knollwood Memorial Gardens of Fergus Falls.
Janice was born August 10, 1946 to Donald and Gertrude (Miller) Formo in Fergus Falls, MN. She was the middle triplet of the Formo triplets. Janice graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1965. After high school, Janice attended business college in Fargo, ND.
November 5, 1966, Janice was united in marriage to Norman Miller at the Methodist Church in Fergus Falls. Janice and Norman made their home in Fergus Falls. Janice worked at One Hour Martinizing for 21 years. She also worked at the Broen Memorial Home, Kmart and recently retired from serving as the Assistant Manager of the Sheridan House.
Janice loved cleanliness and organization. She kept an immaculate home and could remove any stain or wrinkle. Janice helped her family with home improvement projects including painting, refinishing woodwork projects and cleaning. Janice was an excellent cook and her desserts were a favorite of many at family gatherings.
Janice enjoyed playing bingo and traveling with Norman to auctions, farm events and the casino. She and Norman regularly took their nieces and nephews on trips to farm shows and waterparks. Janice had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh.
Janice loved her family immensely. She spoiled her nieces and nephews with her unending kindness and generosity. She rarely missed the events of her loved ones or family gatherings. Janice prioritized spending time with the people that were important to her and, in turn, the things that were important to them. She attended numerous concerts, races, benefits and regularly volunteered at the Flek-kefest celebration in Elbow Lake.
Janice was proceeded in death by her parents, in-laws, sister, Alta (Penny) Marie Muller; brother-in-law, Marvin Miller; sister-in-law, Elaine Savageau and nephew, Scott Allen Jorgens.
Janice is survived by her husband, Norman; sisters, Janet Formo of Fergus Falls and Jeanette (Jim) Jorgens of Dalton; brothers-in-law, Les Muller of Foxhome, Charles “Sonny” Miller of Fergus Falls, Thomas (Donna) Miller of Fergus Falls, Donald (LuAnn) McCollough of St. Paul, George (Judy) McCollough of Henning and Roger (Vicky) McCollough of Akeley; sister-in-law, Karen (Russel) of Horace, ND; nieces, Gail (Kent) Supernois-Hedstrom of Elbow Lake and Kelly (Jon) Carlson of Horace, ND; nephew, Daniel (Christine) Muller of Foxhome; great-niece, Brittany Hedstrom (Luke Dawson) of Des Moines, IA; and great-nephews, Scott Hedstrom of Fergus Falls, and Ashton Jorgens and Eli Jorgens of Horace, ND.
