Resort History Unearthed

Have you seen the two pillars that were under North Shore Drive that were discovered while digging in the water and sewer lines in Battle Lake? Cheryl Kottom took the photo and posted it on Facebook. She received a response … John Everts says they were at Mile Away Resort entrance. The pillars were removed in the 50’s. In the mid-60’s, they moved the road when lots were developed and Burt Olson’s residence now the entrance site.
