Area Lakes Proposed Sunfish Limits Comments, Meetings

The DNR will be collecting comments on the proposed sunfish regulation changes for Otter Tail County’s 13 lakes. They are Bass (near Underwood), Deer, East Lost, Fish (near Weetown), Fish (near Parkers Prairie), Franklin, Long (near Vergas), Prairie, Red River Lake, Stuart, Wall, West Lost and West Silent.

The meeting with no formal presentation is Thursday, October 8 from 5-7 p.m. at the Fergus Falls DNR Area Headquarters. Attendees can talk with staff about the proposal and will be limited to no more than 10 indoors at any time due to MDH guidelines. There are four 30 minute times slots: 5-5:30, 5:30-6 p.m., 6-6:30 p.m. and 6:30-7 p.m. They recommend you preregister by emailing Jim.Wolters@st ate.mn.us but it is not required to attend in person.
