Vicki Lynn (Mark) Evavold passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Lake Region Hospital in Elbow Lake, Minnesota surrounded by her loving family. Vicki was born July 10, 1952 in Fergus Falls, MN, the daughter of Floyd and Constance (Rose) Mark. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed at Tordenskjold Free Lutheran Church of rural Underwood, where she remained a life-long member. Vicki went to grade school at District #1387. Later, she attended and transferred to Underwood High School where she graduated in 1970. She was employed by West Central Turkeys, Fergus Falls Medical Group and was a cook up until her retirement at the Underwood Public School. Vicki stated, “The happiest day of my life was June 10, 1972”. The day she became a June bride and married Virgil, “The love of her life” at Tordenskjold Free Lutheran Church. They resided on a farm in rural Fergus Falls where they raised their four kids and milked cows for 21 years. Vicki played a vital role in the success of the farm. They later switched the farm operation to beef cattle with their sons. Following her retirement with the Underwood Public School, she and Virgil became a cleaning duo taking on numerous cleaning jobs. March 25, 2022 Virgil was welcomed into Heaven. During the cold winter months, she could be found snuggled up in her chair watching Hallmark or reading with Lily by her side. She enjoyed attending Geo-rge Strait concerts and listening to music. Many people benefited from Vicki’s true gift of friendship. Pink flamingos become a special connection with a dear friend. Vicki enjoyed being outside in the sun tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. One of her greatest joys was sharing her produce with family and friends.
