Ralph E. Lundberg – Minneapolis, MN

Ralph E. Lundberg, 94 of Minneapolis, MN, formerly of Evansville, MN, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Mt. Olivet Careview Nursing Home in Minneapolis, MN. Ralph Elmer was born on May 18, 1928 on Grandpa Lundberg’s Farm in Otter Tail County to Alfred and Alice (Evavold) Lundberg. At the age of three the family moved to farm on Lake Christina. Ralph attended Kron School and in 1943, he was confirmed at Christina Lake Lutheran Church. Ralph worked for area farmers until he entered the Army in 1951. While in the Army he was a Combat Medic on the Frontline, where he received a Medical Badge. Ralph was Honorably Discharged from the Army in 1952 but stayed in the Reserves for five years. Ralph was employed by Orin Thompson Homes Construction from 1952-1968. In 1960, he married Marlene Larson in St. Paul. In 1961 their son, Dorlen arrived. In 1968, he started working at Thermo King where he retired from in 1988. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Alice Lundberg; sister, Laurize; brothers-in-law, Lynn Westman and Skip Ruof; niece, Cheryl Smith; mother and father-in-law, Reuben and Margie Larson; brothers-in-law, Harvey and Wayne Larson; and sister-in-law, Betty Larson. Ralph is survived by his wife, Marlene; son, Dorlen; his friend, Cindy; God son, Todd Larson; nephew, Jerry Westman; special cousin, Mike Evavold along with numerous relatives and friends. God Bless the Memory of Ralph Lundberg. Memorial gathering will be Friday, July 21, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Evansville and continues one hour prior to the service. Celebration of Ralph’s life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Evansville. Everyone is invited to join family for a luncheon following the ceremony at the family lake home, 17700 Cty. RD 1 NW, Evansville, MN 56326. Interment will be at Christina Lake Lutheran Cemetery in Evansville, MN at a later date. Military Honors will be 3 p.m. at the Family Lake Home.
