Raymond Charles Bordeaux – Palm Springs, CA

Raymond Charles Bordeaux passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 21, 2023 at his home in Palm Springs, California. He was 61 years old. Raymond was born in Omaha, Nebraska April 4, 1962. He was the son of Robert I. and Betty Bordeaux. He had older two siblings, Robert and Annette. Ray spent much of his childhood in Omaha then moved with his family to Battle Lake, Minnesota when he was in junior high school. He graduated from high school in Battle Lake. He went on to study at the University of Minnesota at Mankato and Minneapolis-St. Paul. Wanting to see more of the country and experience more out of life, Ray moved to California. He also lived in Hawaii eventually moving back to Omaha to provide company to his aging grandmother. After she passed, Ray moved to Palm Springs, where he lived for many years. Raymond had a flair for entertaining people. He loved photography and it brought him great joy to share his photos with others. Ray loved the high desert of California and has many photos artfully depicting the beauty of that area. Raymond was an intelligent person and a deep thinker. Ray lived with HIV for decades and was a champion for HIV awareness and support. Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Robert I Bordeaux; his grandparents, Charles and Mary Baar; and his great-niece, Maci. He is survived by his mother, Betty Bordeaux; brother, Robert (Heidi) Bordeaux and sister, Annette (Richard) Hochstein. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and their children. Ray had many friends including a few long-time friends that meant so much to him. There was a Celebration of Life service at Yucca Valley Center for Spiritual Living (was on Facebook Live) at 1 p.m. Pacific Time Saturday September 2.
