Inez Mae (Martinson) Hanson went home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at the age of 78. Inez was born February 26, 1945 to Clarence and Hulda (Leabo) Martinson in Fergus Falls, MN. She was baptized at Sarpsborg Luth-eran Church in Dalton, MN. She confirmed her faith in Christ at Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. She graduated from Fergus Falls High School. After high school, Inez moved to Minneapolis where she attended business college and graduated in 1964. She was united in marriage to Richard Hanson January 22nd, 1965 in Brookings, South Dakota. They made their home in Dalton, MN and were bless-ed with two sons, Randy and Daniel. Inez was employed at the Dalton Café as a cook for many years. She was an active member of Zion Sarpsborg Lutheran Church. After retirement, Inez and Richard moved to the family farm in rural Dalton. Inez loved her family very much. She loved spending time with her grandkids. Grandma’s house was al-ways full of love and cookies. She attended all their programs and sporting events. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Inez is survived by her loving husband, Richard Hanson; children, Randy Hanson of Dalton, MN and Daniel (Tracy) Hanson of Ashby, MN; grandchildren, Chalsey (Adam) Barry, Brett (Brittany) Hanson, Drew (April) Hanson and Reed (Tiffani) Hanson; her great -grandchildren, Kylie Barry, Breck Barry, Charlie Hanson, Raelynn Hanson, Brooks Hanson and Ellie Hanson; brother, Roy (Phyllis) Martinson; special cou-sin, Linda Boyer; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hulda and Clarence Martinson; step-mother, Helen Martinson; brother, Curt Martinson; sister-in-law, Carol Martinson and nephew, Chad Martinson. Funeral service was Friday, November 3, 2023 at Zion-Sarpsborg Lutheran Church in Dalton. Visitation was from 5-7 Thursday at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls and one hour prior to the service at the church Burial at Zion Cemetery.
