Prospect House Recipient of $50,000

The Prospect House Museum of Battle Lake is proud to announce it was the recent recipient of a $50,000 donation from Scott Larson and Robin Stegner of Redwood Falls. Fifteen years ago they toured the historic house and the Civil War Museum. They were impressed with the resort artifacts from 1886, 1929 Georgian Revival House and the many Civil War items. Scott and Robing have been watching the progress at the museum and wanted … “To support the efforts to continue to share the outstanding legacy of ‘Cap’ Colehour and his contributions to our community”. The museum thanks them for this very generous donation ensuring the museum is available for future generations. The museum, which is on the National Register for Historic Places is open for daily tours.
