Rita June Bruinsma – Battle Lake, MN
Rita June Bruinsma, beloved mother, of Battle Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on August 5th, 2024, at the age of 81, surrounded by her loving family.She was born in Dickinson, North Dakota in 1943 to Herbert and Helen Johnson. Rita was preceded in death by her husband Randolph (Randy) Bruinsma, and her brothers Robert, Herbert Jr., and Ralph, and is survived by her daughter Rachel (husband Donovan), grandson Henry, sister Beverly (Gellner) and brother Richard, and her many nieces, nephews and their families, who were touched by her generosity and kindness.The funeral is Saturday, August 17th at St. Joan of Arc in Minneapolis, with visitation at 1:00 and service at 2:00 in the afternoon. The burial with her family in Langdon, North Dakota will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Glacier National Park in her name are appreciated.
