BATTLE LAKE HEARING ON VARIANCE

Pursuant to City Code #152.092 of the City of Battle Lake,  IND School District 542 is requesting a variance on West Summit.  The setback requirement is 30 feet, and the current building (auditorium) is set 13 feet back on grade.  The proposed new addition will be 15 feet back.    Details for the above application are available for inspection at the City Clerk’s office at 108 Main Street East, Battle Lake, MN, or on the City’s website:  www.BattleLakeMN.org  one week before the Planning Commission meeting.  The Battle Lake Planning Commission will review the request on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at Battle Lake City Hall then will make recommendations to the City Council. The City Council will conduct a hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, in the City Council Room. Any objections to the granting of this variance may be made in person or via remote access, at the time of said Hearing, or by a letter sent to the Clerk-Treasurer of the City on or before, Tuesday, October 8, 2024,  Remote access to either meeting can be received by contacting the City Clerk for log-in information.
