Trailer House Destroyed By Fire

Battle Lake Fire Department was called at 6:22 p.m. Monday, November 25 to the Battle Lake trailer park on Schumacher Drive as an attached car port caught on fire and spread to the main residence. People in the area could hear a few explosions coming from the fire site which could’ve been a few 1 lb. propane cylinders. Residents evacuated with no injuries and were later assisted by Red Cross. Underwood Fire Department assisted in controlling the fire to one area. Fire under investigation by State Fire Marshal and Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Offices.
