Mildred Emily Drage, 88, of Rochester and Battle Lake, MN died peacefully surrounded by family on March 17, 2025 at Charter House in Rochester, MN. Millie was born February 5, 1937 to Emil Ernest and Mildred Swelland Loebner in Minneapolis. She graduated from Edison High School in 1955 and from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science from the College of Education in 1959. She married Charles Wes-trom Drage July 1, 1961. While Chuck was in the military, Millie lived at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina be-fore returning to raise their 3 children in Roseville. Chuck and Millie moved to Roch-ester in 1987. Millie taught 3rd grade at Wade Park Elementary, supporting Chuck through medical school and she later obtained an early education degree from Bethel College. She had a wonderful career teaching at the Aldrich School in Rochester. Millie had a true gift for educating young children. Millie enjoyed her family, her around-the-world travels (favorite destinations included the Galapagos and Norway), and her beloved lake home. Millie and Chuck spent their retirement years at Otter Tail Lake where Millie was active in the First Lutheran Church and all types of lake activities with good friends and family. Millie is survived by her husband, Chuck, who she met in kindergarten and lovingly shared 64 years of marriage; children, Dr. Lisa Ann Drage (Dr. Eric Olson) of Rochester, MN; Dr. David Charles Drage (Jill) of Dellwood, MN; and Jonathan S. Drage (Michele) of Barrington, IL; and her 9 grandchildren of whom she was very proud: Sarah, Carl, Athlyn, Charlie, McKinley, Allison, Joey, Kari and Jacob. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Loebner of Las Vegas, Nevada. Funeral services will be determined at a future date.
