Everts Lumber Co. in Battle Lake hired the Amish to take down their storage building across the street along Railroad Park. No plans yet for this empty spot. The building was built in 1934 and along the railroad tracks for coal storage. The lumber yard stopped selling coal in the mid-60’s and it was converted into lumber, insulation and window storage.
