Underwood School May 14, 2025 Minutes

The Underwood School Board Regular May meeting was held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in the Conference Room. Present were Board Members Adam Baker, Kyle Sem, Jen Albjerg; Chris Waltz and Jay Mark joined virtually; Student Representative Mason Hoyt; Superintendent Jeff Wilson, Principal Chad Gilbertson, Dean of Students/Activity Director Brian Hovland and Business Manager Margie Thieschafer. Absent: Rebekah Meder. Others: Erin Hoyt, Ardy Johansen and Stephanie Auck.
Waltz, Chair, called the meeting to order at 5:30 Pp.m. with a quorum present. Member Sem read Mission Statement.
Baker joined the meeting at 5:31 p.m.
Motion to approve the agenda (Albjerg/ Sem: MCU).
Visitor Comments: Ardy Johansen commented on Transportation.
Motion to approve consent agenda containing the following: Minutes of the April 16, 2025, Regular meeting; Expenditures/ Financial report; Approve Hires: Emily Asad HS English Teacher, Jason Fuchs Health/PE Teacher, and Traci Finseth MARSS/HS Admin Asst; Approve Resignations of Emily Rogers and Erin Grewe Paraprofessionals, Ryan Hendrickson Head football coach; Approve Rick Harig as Head Football coach and Ryan Hendrickson as Jr High Football coach; Approve Termination of Rachel Schake Paraprofessional (Sem/Baker: MCU).
Student Representative report given by Mason Hoyt.
Committee reports given by Mark on Meet and Confer, Waltz on Early Childhood and Family Education.
Hovland gave the Activities Director report; Gilbertson gave the Principal report and Wilson gave the Superintendent report.
