Patricia Ann Lachowitzer was born May 5, 1936 in St. Paul, MN the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Vontrat) Belland. She was baptized in St. John’s Catholic Church in Little Canada. Pat graduated in 1954 from Johnson High School in St. Paul. Patricia and James Lachowitzer were married November 22, 1958 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Little Canada. They lived in Roseville where she worked for a brief time for the State of Minnesota until they started their family. Thereafter, she was a homemaker raising their eight children. They moved to Centerville and resided there until 1967, when they moved to Center City where they farmed. In 1972, they moved to rural Hoffman where Jim was a dairy farmer. In 1980 they purchased Blanche Lake Resort of rural Battle Lake and made yet another move. They enjoyed the lifelong friendships created with their resort patrons. Pat and Jim retired from the resorting business in 1995. After retirement, they traveled and spent winters in Texas, where they again made numerous life-long friends. Pat was well read as she was an avid reader; she read any book she could get her hands on! She enjoyed her many adventures with Jim and raising their eight children; and later enjoyed visiting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pat was a devout Catholic and her prayer life was very precious to her. Her family and friends appreciated her daily prayers and rosary reciting.
