Alice Lorraine Borg Peterson

Alice Lorraine Borg (Peterson) born in Pukwana, SD to Esther and Harold Jensen, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Alice grew up in De Graff, MN, where she attended country school and cared for her siblings: Donald, Johnny, Jerome and Dick. During her clinical training in Iowa, she met Herman with whom she built a family-centered life. Alice was dedicated to her home and family, raising three children: Ron, Rod and Sue. A gifted homemaker, Alice was active in 4-H, enjoyed sewing and delighted in all sorts of crafts. She loved traveling with her family and also had a special fondness for butterflies, cherishing her collection of butterfly knickknacks. After Herman’s passing, Alice found companionship again with Kenneth Peterson. Together, they enjoyed playing cards at the senior center, attending church and visiting family in Florida. Alice is survived by her children, Rod (Pam) Borg and Sue (Wayne) Mossefin; her grandchildren, Misty, Lindsey, William, Megan, Erik, Amy, Adam, Aaron and Sara; and her many great-grandchildren all of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Harold and Esther Jensen; her first husband, Herman Borg; her son, Ron Borg and her second husband, Kenneth Peterson. Services will be Monday, October 6th at First Lutheran Church of Battle Lake. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by the service at 10:30 a.m. A lunch will be served at the Shoreline Cafe afterwards. Alice will be remembered for her devotion to family, her creativity, her love of butterflies and the kindness she shared with all who knew her.
