House Destroyed By Fire

Otter Tail County Dispatch broadcast the report of a structure fire at Nicolas Luedke and Tanisha Splane residence at 23611 Cty. Hwy. 83 northwest of Battle Lake Sunday, May 19 approximately 11:49 a.m. It was reported that the deck on the residence had caught fire and the flames quickly spread to the main home. By the time first responders arrived at the scene, the home was heavily engulfed in flames. All of the occupants of the home including two adults and six younger children had been above to evacuate the residence on their own. However, it appeared that the home and most of the family’s belongings had been destroyed in the fire.

The Battle Lake and Underwood Fire Departments along with the deputies from Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and assisted with the incident.
